How we calculate runtime

Estimated runtime (hours) = capacity (Wh) × 0.85 ÷ load (W)

Capacity, AC output and surge come only from each manufacturer's own product page (linked on every station page), checked 2026-10-17.
85% efficiency is our assumption for inverter and conversion losses when running AC appliances. Manufacturers generally do not publish a single AC efficiency figure. Real efficiency varies with load and is often lower at very light loads.
Appliance wattage comes from public U.S. Department of Energy typical-wattage tables (as reproduced by Oregon State University and Penn State course materials), given as ranges.
If an appliance's typical wattage is above a station's rated AC output, we mark it as exceeding rated output.

These are estimates, not test results. Cold weather, battery age, discharge limits and real appliance draw all change results. We have not hands-on tested any product.
